Yusuf Dikech is a soldier. After secondary education, he joined the military school in 1994. He then started his career in the army. After graduation, he joined the Turkish Armed Forces. In 2001, he started devoting time to shooting. Due to his service in the army, guns were his companions. Since then he started focusing on shooting in 2001 and entered this sport. After that he started participating in various shooting competitions for the army.

Despite his success in shooting, he continued to serve in the army. Gradually he established himself as Turkey's top shooter. He has represented the country on multiple platforms. Won gold in the 25m standard pistol and 25m center fire pistol events at the 2014 World Shooting Championships. He won silver in the 10m air pistol mixed event at the 2023 World Shooting Championships in Baku.

He won gold at the 2011 ISSF World Cup and won 6 medals at the European Shooting Championships. DKech is now eyeing the 2028 Games. He hopes to win gold at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
