The EURO 2024 tournament has come to a close, and Alex Keble has identified nine standout Premier League performers who made a significant impact in Germany. Rodri, Marc Cucurella, and David Raya were part of Spain's victorious team, while 24 of Gareth Southgate's 26-man squad, including Bukayo Saka, Jordan Pickford, and Declan Rice, played for England.


Rodri, the Manchester City midfielder, was instrumental in Spain's success, controlling the tempo of the game and earning the EURO 2024 Player of the Tournament award. William Saliba, the Arsenal center-back, played every minute for France, helping the team keep four clean sheets and impressing with his defensive skills.


Marc Cucurella, the Chelsea left-back, had a remarkable tournament, setting up the winning goal in the final and forming a strong partnership with Nico Williams. Bukayo Saka, the Arsenal winger, showed intelligence and skill on the pitch, scoring a brilliant long-range goal against Switzerland and converting his penalty in the shootout.

Jordan Pickford, the Everton goalkeeper, was solid and dependable for England, making crucial saves and helping the team reach the final. Declan Rice, the Arsenal midfielder, was a key contributor to England's defensive sturdiness, covering the most distance and making the most tackles and interceptions.


Marc Guehi, the Crystal Palace center-back, had a breakout tournament, adapting well to playing on the left side of a back three and recovering 44 balls, the second-most in the tournament. Cody Gakpo, the Liverpool winger, found a new lease of life on the left wing for the Netherlands, scoring three goals and providing one assist.


Kai Havertz, the Arsenal forward, was Germany's secret weapon, playing as a "false nine" and creating opportunities for his teammates. These players have shown their quality and will be valuable assets for their clubs in the upcoming season.
