Hus Mohammed, a coach at Fulham FC Foundation, is making a positive impact on young people's lives through the Premier League Kicks program. Mohammed, who joined the program 17 years ago as a participant, is now giving back to his community by working at the same venue where he grew up.

Premier League Kicks, which began in 2006, uses the power of football and sport to inspire young people to reach their potential in high-need areas. The program has invested over £81 million in communities and has supported over half a million participants, including Mohammed.

Mohammed's journey with Premier League Kicks started when he was nine years old, growing up in a South London neighborhood with high levels of gang activity and violence. The program provided a sense of community and belonging, teaching him valuable life skills and rules that extended beyond the football pitch.

As he grew older, Mohammed took advantage of coaching opportunities through Premier League Kicks, earning his badges and eventually becoming a sessional coach at Fulham PL Kicks. Six years later, he is now in a full-time position with Fulham FC Foundation, working with young people in his community.

Mohammed credits Premier League Kicks with changing his life, providing a constant presence and positive influence in his neighborhood. He believes that the program's consistent football sessions, free for young people to attend, give them a sense of belonging and safety.

Through his work, Mohammed aims to make a difference in young people's lives, providing guidance, support, and football activity. He is one of the 20% of Premier League Kicks staff who are former participants, demonstrating the program's impact on creating positive role models and opportunities for young people.

The Premier League's investment in communities and football development is showcased through the "More than a game" campaign, highlighting the league's contribution to grassroots football and community programs like Premier League Kicks.
