Nottingham Forest Signs Goalkeeper Carlos Miguel
Nottingham Forest has completed the signing of goalkeeper Carlos Miguel from Corinthians, subject to a work permit. The 25-year-old has agreed to a four-year deal and becomes the club's fourth summer signing.
Carlos Miguel, who stands at 6ft 8in tall, is eager to join his new teammates and contribute to the team's success. "I'm excited to be joining a giant club like Nottingham Forest," he said. "My goal is to become an important member of the team and help the club achieve its objectives."
The Brazilian goalkeeper has made 33 senior appearances in his career and will reunite with his former Corinthians teammate Murillo at Forest. He is the third Brazilian player to join the club, alongside midfielder Danilo.
Forest head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has moved quickly to strengthen his goalkeeping options following the departures of Odysseas Vlachodimos and Wayne Hennessey. The club begins its pre-season preparations with a fixture against Chesterfield on July 13 and hosts AFC Bournemouth in its opening Premier League match on August 17.
