The English Premier League is considered the most competitive domestic sports league in the world. But since the arrival of Pep Guardiola, Manchester City has made the Premier League very one-sided. City have won five of the last six seasons under Guardiola. In the 2017-18 season, they became the first club in league history to score 100 points.

Football statistical organization 'Opta' has brought good news for City. Opter Supercomputer says Manchester City are more likely to win the Premier League in the 2023-24 season as well. The supercomputer has analyzed the teams' current points standings until December 2023, strength analysis, and said Guardiola's City have a 55.10% chance of winning the title.

  As predicted, the runners-up will be Liverpool. At the moment, Jurgen Klopp's team's probability of winning the title is shown at 27.30%. Arsenal's chances are 15.30%.

However, City have to give a tough test in the league after another round of campaign to retain the title. The 2023-24 season is a cat-and-mouse game between several teams for the top spot. In that game, City fell behind a bit. They finished the year third in the table with 40 points.

Liverpool welcomed the new year at the top of the table with 42 points. Aston Villa, who have emerged as the surprise of the season, also have 42 points. But with Liverpool behind on goal difference, Villa have two. However, Opter Supercomputer doesn't see much of a chance for Villa to win the title. The probability of Unai Emery's team is shown at 1.90%. Tottenham, who are fifth in the points table, are also number 5 in this prediction. Spurs' chance is 0.30%.

Last December 18, when City Club traveled to Saudi Arabia to play in the World Cup, their chances of winning the league were shown at 39.30%. But at the end of December, there are mainly two reasons for that probability to increase. (1) Liverpool-Arsenal draw in head to head. City have a big advantage as these two teams share points. (2)

Liverpool and Arsenal will be without their African and Asian players for at least 1 month. African and Asian players from both clubs will soon attend national team camps. In January-February, they will play for the country in the African Cup of Nations and AFC Asian Cup. City has benefited in this case as well. There are no African or Asian players in Guardiola's squad. That is, the reigning champions will get a full strength squad.

Opter Supercomputer sees West Ham as the only team outside the top five in the league to have the slightest chance of winning the title. The probability of the London club is 0.01%.

The supercomputer has also predicted which team will be in the top four. Where Manchester City's probability is 99.20%, Liverpool's 97.10%, Arsenal's 93.80%, Aston Villa's 65.80% and Tottenham's 30.50%.
