 Kane's Goal Hunt: From Tottenham to Bayern, Unchanged Mastery

Harry Kane is one of the world's best strikers and top scorers in the last decade. The 30-year-old English footballer has racked up record after record for Tottenham Hotspur. But after not being able to win anything as a team, he left Tottenham and signed for Bayern Munich last August.

Despite changing leagues and clubs, Kane has not changed himself. The goal addiction is the same as before. Has already scored 18 goals for Bayern in the Bundesliga, the most among the top five domestic leagues in Europe.

After spending 14 years in top level football, Kane has been blocked many times by the opponent's defense on the way to scoring so many goals.

But Kane has found the two toughest defenders to face in a long career. They are England and Chelsea former captain John Terry and Italy and Juventus former captain Giorgio Chiellini.

In an interview with ESPN, Kane said of the two, "Terry was the toughest defender I've ever faced. Met Terry early in his career. He is one of the best defenders in the world. Agile and intelligent. Then I will name (Giorjo) Chiellini. I faced Chiellini during the games against Italy and Juventus. He is also very agile. He knows how to use his body well, is very strong and knows how to control the ball in the air.

Chelsea legend Terry and former Juventus defender Chiellini are considered by many to be the greatest centre-backs of all time. Terry, who won the Champions League for Chelsea in 2012, retired from playing in 2018. Then he chose coaching as a profession. The club that made him a world-class star, is currently the coach of Chelsea's academy team.

The 39-year-old Chiellini is still playing but has left European football and moved to the United States. Plays for Major League Soccer (MLS) club Los Angeles FC. Italy won Euro 2020 under the captaincy of Chiellini. Italy beat Harry Kane-led England in a tiebreaker in the final at Wembley in London. Chiellini did not allow Kane to create a goal in that match.

Kane's next match against Bayern in the German Bundesliga is next Saturday. Bayern will overtake Bayer Leverkusen at the top of the points table if Eintracht Frankfurt wins that day.

However, Kane's team could have reached the top last Saturday. But the match against Union Berlin was postponed due to heavy snowfall. However, it has been a 'curse' for Kane, who has been in consecutive games. He and his team got a chance to rest for a week.
