Last season, Bayern Munich won the league in a last-minute play, but this season, Bayern Munich was playing bad football from the start. The team did not lose even one of the first 12 matches. Bayern's unbeaten run was halted today by Eintracht Frankfurt, winning 5-1.

Not only did Frankfurt give Bayern the bitter taste of their first defeat of the season, it also brought back a memory 48 years old. In 1975, Frankfurt scored 5 goals in the first half to beat Bayern 6-0. Bringing back that memory, the team gave 5 goals in 60 minutes to Bayern's net. In the last 48 years, no other team in the league has conceded 5 goals to Bayern in such a short period of time.

The hosts took a 3-1 lead in the first half in the match at Frankfurt. Omar Marmosh scored in the 12th minute, Junior Dina Ebimbe in the 31st minute and Hugo Larsson in the 36th minute. Joshua Kimmich scored a goal for Bayern in the 44th minute.

After the break, Frankfurt maintained the offensive style of the first half. In the 50th minute, French midfielder Ebimbe scored Frankfurt's fourth and individual second goal by using Dayot Upamecano's mistake. It did not end here. Ansgar Nauf also scored in the 60th minute, leaving Bayern trailing 5-1. Frankfurt became the first team in the last 48 years to put the ball in Bayern's net 5 times in the first hour of the match.

Thomas Tuchel's team had to leave the field with a big loss as Bayern failed to score in the next half hour. This is the fourth time in the 21st century that Bayern have lost by 4 or more goals in the league. Both of which came against Frankfurt (the other being 5-1 in 2019).

Bayern is second in the Bundesliga with 32 points from 13 matches. Bayer Leverkusen tops with 35 points in a draw.
