Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta expressed concerns about winger Bukayo Saka's availability for the upcoming Premier League clash against Burnley, citing an injury sustained in the Champions League win over Sevilla. Saka, recently named in the England squad, left the pitch with discomfort, raising worries about his participation in both club and national fixtures. Arteta emphasized the desire for players to contribute at both levels and hopes Saka can recover in time.

Regarding other injuries, Arteta mentioned the uncertainties surrounding Takehiro Tomiyasu and Martin Odegaard, with the former being replaced in the Sevilla game and the latter having missed the last two matches. Arteta noted that some players are still in contention, and final decisions will be made closer to the game.

Reflecting on Arsenal's recent league defeat to Newcastle United, Arteta refrained from delving into the VAR controversy surrounding the winning goal but acknowledged ongoing discussions about improving the system. However, he humorously mentioned the unpredictability of the future, joking that he might be bald in ten years.

Looking ahead to the Burnley fixture, Arteta acknowledged Burnley's challenging position in the league despite their quality performances. He emphasized the unpredictability of the Premier League, where deserving results might not always align with outcomes due to the high quality of opposition. Arsenal, currently fourth in the table, aims to bounce back after the Newcastle setback and close the gap on league leaders Manchester City. Burnley, struggling in second-bottom position with four points from 11 games, provides an opportunity for Arsenal to regain momentum.
