Juventus pledges unwavering support for Nicolo Fagioli as the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) enforces his seven-month suspension for breaching betting regulations, with the ban commencing on October 19, as confirmed by the club on Thursday.
Acknowledging the FIGC's directive for Fagioli's participation in a six-month gambling therapy program, including a minimum of 10 public sessions over five months, Juventus emphasized its commitment to assisting Fagioli in navigating this process.
Reaffirming their confidence in Fagioli's eventual successful return, Juventus expressed solidarity with the player, highlighting the collaborative effort between the club, Fagioli's teammates, family, and the professional support network dedicated to aiding his rehabilitation.
In a related development, Newcastle United revealed that their midfielder Sandro Tonali is currently under investigation for his alleged involvement in betting activities. Additionally, AS Roma responded to reports implicating their midfielder Nicola Zalewski and forward Stephan El Shaarawy in betting inquiries, asserting the players' innocence and defending their reputations from the damaging speculation.
AS Roma stated, "The club has full confidence in Nicola and Stephan when they say they have nothing to do with this matter," emphasizing their trust in the players' integrity amidst the ongoing investigations.
