Lionel Messi's $17.5 Million Mansion in Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Since joining Inter Miami, Lionel Messi has been on the hunt for a new home for his family. He has finally found a place that suits his preferences.
Messi has purchased a luxurious mansion for $17.5 million in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The American architectural digest reports that the new house spans 10,050 square feet and is located in a gated community in the exclusive area of Fort Lauderdale. The mansion boasts 10 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, an open-concept kitchen, a swimming pool, and a three-car garage. It is surrounded by a lake.
Currently, Messi is with the Argentine national team in La Paz, Bolivia, for a World Cup qualifying match. After playing that match, he is expected to return to his new home in Florida.
Even before his move to Inter Miami, Messi was regularly coming to Florida with his family for vacations. He had purchased a $9 million mansion in 2019 in the Porsche Design Tower in Sunny Isles Beach, located about 25 minutes from DRV PNK Stadium, the home ground of Inter Miami. However, Messi recently revealed that it often took him nearly 15 minutes just to get from there to the stadium, given the traffic and the distance.
With the new house in Fort Lauderdale, the distance to the stadium has been significantly reduced. It will take about 15 minutes to reach the stadium from this location. Being in an upscale area, this road doesn't face much traffic congestion.
