British rock duo Royal Blood, which originated in the coastal town of Worthing in southern England, has found a second home in the United States, where they are gearing up to embark on a tour promoting their fourth full-length album set for release this Friday.

Having been established in 2011, the band initially encountered difficulties securing gigs in their hometown, which is often overshadowed by the more fashionable city of Brighton.

With nearly a decade of touring experience in the United States, the duo is preparing to hit American stages again in September, following their upcoming performances in the UK.

Lead vocalist Mike Kerr expressed his sentiment about the resonance of rock 'n' roll in the American culture. He stated to Reuters, "In America, rock 'n' roll is deeply embedded in the language. No matter where you land in America, once you hop into a taxi and the radio turns on, you're greeted with a guitar solo – it's an integral part of the culture."

Royal Blood's inaugural album achieved an impressive rank of 17 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. Meanwhile, their most recent album, "Typhoons," secured the 48th spot.

Kerr, in collaboration with drummer Ben Thatcher, emphasized that they were not overly concerned with chart rankings, as that aspect remains beyond their direct control. Kerr added, "Our primary focus is on giving our best as a band. The rest is a matter of letting things unfold naturally."

Despite this, he conveyed a newfound confidence in their lyricism, particularly evident in their forthcoming album "Back to the Water Below."

Kerr disclosed, "In rock music, there's often a temptation to hide behind the music due to its energetic nature. Yet, with this record, we've allowed moments for the dust to settle, resulting in a more candid expression."

Thatcher pointed out that their lead single, "Mountains At Midnight," embodies the quintessential Royal Blood rock sound. However, other tracks, such as "Pull Me Through," delve into introspection.

"Pull Me Through" holds a poignant meaning for Kerr, who shared, "The essence of the song revolves around seeking assistance and relying on someone else to guide you out of certain emotions or situations. Personally, it was a comfortable space to create from, given my own experiences."

As they launch their new album and continue their journey, Royal Blood is poised to captivate both old and new audiences with their evolving musical prowess.
