An earthquake has shaken the nearby city of West Los Angeles in California. So far, there haven't been any reports of casualties. The effects of the hurricane have devastated Mexico and Southwestern America. Heavy rains over the weekend led to flooding in California. Amidst this, an earthquake has shaken the vicinity of West Los Angeles, though no reports of casualties have been received yet. In response to the earthquake, 100 dump trucks have been deployed for rescue efforts in the affected area. In Mexico, unfortunately, one person has died due to the hurricane.


Until Sunday afternoon, the focus was on California. Wind speeds reached up to 95 kilometers per hour. The American National Hurricane Center reported that the hurricane has traveled 37 kilometers per hour from Mexico to California. On Sunday night, the Hurricane Center announced that heavy rainfall had begun in California, leading to intense flooding in cities. It's been observed in Hope Ranch. Residents have been advised not to leave their homes unless necessary.


Local news sources have reported that many people in Southern California are without electricity due to the storm. Waterlogging on roads has caused more than half of the vehicles to become submerged. The Palm Springs area of Los Angeles has been affected by the flooding situation. Death Valley National Park has been closed. Almost all coastal areas of Southern California have been shut down. Roads and schools have been closed. Even several planned baseball matches have been postponed.


Meteorologists have indicated that after 1997, this 2023 hurricane marks a revolutionary storm in the United States. Its impact has caused flooding even in dry areas like California. Governor Gavin Newsom of California declared a state of emergency and activated the California National Guard with 7,500 personnel.
