The mother holds only one person responsible for Nahel's murder
The mother of the deceased youth Nahel, who was shot by the police in France, identified him as Monia, of Algerian descent, and considered him her "best friend." Her son was her entire life.
After the death of her son, she became a Maoist rebel. However, she did not blame the entire police force for the incident, unlike many others. She said, "I only blame one person who took my son's life."
The incident of Nahel's death, being of Algerian descent, has deeply concerned the Algerian government, surpassing the boundaries of the Mediterranean Sea. Although it is not yet officially known whether Nahel was a dual citizen or not.

The Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has described the incident of Nahel's death as "disturbing." They referred to Nahel as an Algerian and claimed that his security was in the hands of France.
The incident occurred on Tuesday when Nahel was shot by the police at a checkpoint while driving a car. This incident has sparked nationwide protests. The protests reached their fifth day today, Sunday. Yesterday, Saturday night, 719 protesters were arrested. And the night before, nearly a thousand people were arrested. To suppress the protests, 45,000 police officers have been deployed nationwide.
Nahel, 17, grew up in an estate called Pablo Picasso in the western part of Paris. The estate is densely populated. His mother raised him as a single child. She worked in product delivery. His father's identity is unknown.
In the past three years, Nahel played rugby for the Pirates of Notre Dame Club. Meanwhile, a committee named Citizen Society manages a program that is difficult for teenagers like Nahel to participate in. Nahel was also involved in that program.
There is no criminal record against Nahel in the police. The spokesperson for Notre Dame stated that when the checkpoint police asked him to stop, he did not. He was issued a summons to appear in court for minors in the future.
Last Tuesday, the police stated that he drew their attention by driving recklessly.
