Inter Miami Fans Rally to Restore Vandalized Messi Mural
Inter Miami supporters rightly responded to this incident by providing a suitable answer. Instead of destroying the mural, they restored it to its original form. Just a day after its destruction, the mural almost miraculously reappeared in its previous state. It took them about two to three days to fully restore it to its original state.
Since Messi's announcement of joining a US football club, there has been a wave of excitement among the fans of Inter Miami. A few days ago, one of Messi's murals was painted in Miami's supporter group, Vice City 1896, depicting Messi in Inter Miami's pink jersey.
Not everyone in Miami welcomed Messi's move, especially the fans of rival clubs. Hence, in an act of vandalism, they destroyed the mural. It's not possible to determine exactly who committed this act. However, it is suspected that either Miami FC's supporters or supporters of Orlando City FC might have been involved.
Despite the incident, Vice City 1896 did not lose their spirit. They were not deterred by this act of vandalism and responded to the designer of the mural, Moramarko, with a message in their group chat, saying, "I sent a message in the group chat, requesting everyone's help. I cannot believe how many people stepped forward. We are proud of this collective effort that brought back the mural after it was destroyed."
In response to how the public reacted to seeing the mural restored after being destroyed by a group of 80 people over eight nights, Moramarko said, "I laughed, but I was also taken aback. Some people went out of their way to go there and repaint it. It means that our work bothers them, which means we are doing the right thing."
