A popular journalist from Saudi Arabia has tried to keep the news secret. He has revealed that the Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal is trying to sign a world-famous footballer next week, which will become a topic of discussion worldwide. The journalist, named Ahmed Al Ajlan, further stated that clubs like Barcelona are also interested in the same player every season. Although he kept the mystery intact, it is clear from his words that the "world-famous footballer" is Neymar.

Ahmed Al Ajlan has around 600,000 followers on Twitter. On Saturday, during a program on the Pan-Arab channel MBC-1, Ajlan stated that he has information that Al Hilal is about to sign a player who will make a significant impact this season and capture the world's attention. He also added that everyone will recognize the player's name once they mention the country he comes from.

Later, journalist Khalid Walid from BeIN Sports based in Qatar tweeted the same news. In his tweet, he mentioned that Al Hilal is trying to sign the player, and Barcelona has shown interest in acquiring him. Walid's tweet and the discussion on talk shows by Walid and Ajlan were reported by Forbes. While the player's name was not disclosed, it is assumed to be Brazilian star Neymar.

Prior to this, MBC journalist Ajlan revealed that the Saudi Arabian government's Public Investment Fund (PIF) has taken responsibility for the four clubs in the Saudi Pro League. Each club has been promised three-star footballers by the PIF. The four clubs are Al Nassr, Al Hilal, Al Ittihad, and Al Ahli.

At the age of 31, Neymar is currently considering leaving PSG and moving elsewhere. However, there hasn't been significant interest from clubs towards him. A few days ago, CBS News reported that the Brazilian star received a proposal from a Saudi Arabian club. Al Hilal's management had also shown interest in Neymar after failing to convince Argentine star Lionel Messi with a lucrative offer. Earlier this month, amidst all the speculations and rumors, Messi confirmed his intention to join Major League Soccer's Inter Miami in the United States. Prior to that, news agency AFP had reported that Messi had engaged in negotiations with a club from Saudi Arabia, even agreeing to the terms of a new contract. However, Messi has not accepted the substantial offer from Saudi Arabia until the end.

CBS had previously reported that the proposal offered to Neymar from Saudi Arabia is no less than what Cristiano Ronaldo received. In January of last year, Ronaldo joined Al Nassr, a Saudi club, for a staggering $200 million salary. In 2017, PSG acquired Neymar from Barcelona for a release clause payment of more than €222 million, which remains the highest transfer fee in football history. However, PSG has significantly strengthened its squad over the past six years. Neymar is now contemplating leaving Paris, but he has lost the love and support of PSG fans. A few days ago, PSG supporters staged a protest in front of Neymar's house, demanding that he leave the club.

Since then, Neymar also wants to leave PSG as the club is willing to sell him to earn some money. However, it remains uncertain where Neymar will go, as there have been conflicting reports from Saudi and Qatari journalists.

Although RM Sports recently reported that Neymar is not interested in playing in the Saudi league, Forbes suggests that even if Neymar was not initially interested, there is no reason why he wouldn't agree now. If the Saudi club Al Hilal can convince the Brazilian star with a substantial financial offer, there would be no reason to be surprised.

However, it is important to wait for a few more days for football fans to confirm whether the news from Saudi journalist Ahmed Al Ajlan is true or not.
