In January, Danilo Alves was arrested in Spain on charges of assault. Since then, this Brazilian footballer has been in jail. His contract with the club was terminated, and he went through a lot, including a separation from his wife. However, he did not get the opportunity to speak about his situation.

Finally, after five months of detention, Alves has opened up about the incident of assault and various other matters. He gave an interview to Spanish journalist Maika Navarro from prison, where he denied the allegations and asked for forgiveness from the woman who accused him. Alongside that, he sought forgiveness from his wife regarding the whole incident.

Against Alves, there is an accusation of assault. On December 30th, he allegedly assaulted a woman in a nightclub in Barcelona. Subsequently, he was arrested on January 20th by the Barcelona police. Currently, the trial against Alves for the charge of assault is ongoing. In the interview given during the custody, Alves stated, "I did not harm anyone willingly, not even on that night. I don't know if she was conscious or if she slept well that night. But I have forgiven her."

From the beginning, Alves has given multiple statements regarding the accusations against him. Now, regarding the charge of assault, Alves said, "I hope for awareness and a peaceful return. There is no night where I could sleep peacefully, not even a single night. I am very much aware."

To explain the reason for interviewing Ana Roja's mother during the program, Alves further stated, "This is my first interview, and I am giving this interview because I want everyone to know what I am thinking. I want to let you know what happened that day and what took place in the bathroom. So far, only a terrifying story has been shared, and tales of fear have been told. There is no connection between what happened and any relationship with her. Even what I did has no connection with her."

Alvarez explained what happened in the bathroom, saying, "After we finished talking, I mentioned going to the bathroom. Because we had spent some time together. We didn't kiss or do anything like that. However, we were definitely attracted to each other. We were in public. To prevent taking pictures of us, my friend stood in front. I told the girl I would wait for her to go to the bathroom first."

After waiting for a long time, the woman entered the bathroom. Alvarez added, "When she went inside, I stepped outside. I didn't block the bathroom door either. I knew my friend was outside. So, no one else could enter. She knew what we were doing. She never signaled me to stop or leave. The door was open the whole time. If she wanted to, she could have left. Because I was sitting on the toilet the entire time."

Along with explaining his own position in the incident of assault, Alvarez also asked for forgiveness from someone. The interviewer, Mayka, asked Alvarez if he wanted forgiveness from someone. To which Alvarez replied to his wife, Hwana Sanj, seeking forgiveness, saying, "I only want forgiveness from one person, my wife, Hwana Sanj. Personally, I have already asked her for forgiveness. But now everyone knows everything. It is also appropriate for me to seek forgiveness from the public."
