Dead woman Ecuador
A woman in a coffin made a noise with her breath on the eve of her own funeral in Ecuador.

In Ecuador, a woman named Bela Montoya lay sleeping in a coffin during her own wake, causing a commotion with her breath. Later, the woman was taken to the hospital after being removed from the coffin. However, she could not survive and passed away in the hospital.

The woman's name was Bela Montoya, and she was 76 years old. On June 9th, doctors at a hospital in Babahoyo, Ecuador, declared her dead.

Afterward, her relatives took her "body" to their home. They prepared for the wake, keeping the body in a coffin for several hours. However, the lid of the coffin was open. Before placing her in the grave, grieving relatives were preparing to change Bela's clothes. Suddenly, they noticed that she was breathing heavily in the coffin.

She was quickly removed from the coffin and taken to the hospital. The doctors provided intensive care treatment and medical care. However, sadly, Bela passed away on the local date of Friday, June 16th. The Ecuadorian Ministry of Health reported that she died due to cerebral hemorrhage caused by bleeding in the brain during her transfer to the hospital.

Before this incident with Bela occurred, a committee was formed by the Ecuadorian Ministry of Health to investigate the matter. In a statement, the Ministry of Health mentioned that Bela had experienced a cardiac arrest. This means that her heart had suddenly stopped functioning properly. They were unable to revive her through medical treatment, leading the doctors to declare her dead.

Speaking to local newspapers, Bela's son, Gilberto Barba, said, "Now my mother has truly passed away. My life will never be the same again."

Bela was laid to rest on Friday. The place where the wake was previously held was used again for the final rites of Bela.
