Nevertheless, the rescue operation brought the elderly couple to the deck of the Titanic. After taking all the women and children on the lifeboats, the elderly couple thought about themselves, said the old man. Until the last moment, they would stay with each other, he opened his coat and handed it to the caretaker for his wife. Perhaps this is how love is.

The portrayal of the elderly couple in the movie "Titanic" was not a figment of the director's imagination. In 1912, this couple had boarded the Titanic with a pair of tickets. They lost their lives on the sinking Titanic.

The identity of the elderly couple is Isidor Straus and Ida Straus. They were among the deceased passengers of the Titanic tragedy.

The purpose of the expedition was to explore the remains of the Titanic, lying approximately 4,000 meters deep in the North Atlantic Ocean. However, just 1 hour and 45 minutes after the journey began, the communication with the Titan's "Mothership" Polar Prince was lost. Both the American Coast Guard and the Canadian Coast Guard were involved in the rescue operation. The Titanic has been rediscovered starting from Sunday.

According to BBC sources, this Titan belongs to a tourist organization named OceanGate. This organization has been conducting expeditions to showcase the remains of the Titanic since 2021.

With an exchange of nearly two crore rupees, OceanGate took the deep-sea journey to show the remains of the Titanic to Oceangate. The CEO of this organization is named Stockton Rush. He also joined the passengers on the dive.

Stockton's wife's name is Wendy Rush. Wendy is the great-granddaughter of the deceased couple Strauss, who perished in the Titanic disaster.

Isidor was the first businessman in England's first row. He used to run a shop with his father Lazarus Strauss and brother Nathan Strauss. Later, they acquired ownership of a store called "Macy's Department Store."

In 1986, Isidor and Nathan acquired ownership of the store. Isidor decided that they would also sell chinaware in their store. Isidor became successful in business.

After Isidor's marriage to Ida, they had a daughter named Minnie. In 1905, Minnie married Dr. Richard Welk.

Richard and Minnie's son, Richard Welk Jr., grew up and became the President of Macy's in New York. Richard Welk Jr.'s son, the third Richard Welk, became Wendy's father.

Before marriage, Wendy's name was Wendy Hollings Wells. Stockton used to work as an aeronautical engineer before the establishment of OceanGate.

In the past two years, Wendy has gone to see the remains of the Titanic three times on behalf of OceanGate. Currently, she holds the position of Communication Director at OceanGate.
