After bidding farewell in the quarter-finals of the World Cup, the Brazilian team has been without a permanent coach. Talks of hiring a foreign coach are underway. There have been extensive discussions regarding whether Carlo Ancelotti, the coach of Real Madrid, will become the coach of Brazil or not. The Brazilian Football Federation (CBF) has openly expressed their preference for Ancelotti.

The latest news is that Ancelotti will become the coach of Brazil, but not immediately. After his contract with Real Madrid ends in 2024, he will take on the responsibility of Brazil, according to various Brazilian news outlets. The CBF seems to have reached an agreement with Ancelotti, who is highly favored by them as the national team's coach, and they have no qualms about appointing him as an "interim coach" for a year to lead the Brazilian national team.

Ancelotti is so favored as a coach for the Brazilian team that even the Brazilian footballer Rodrigo, who plays for Real Madrid, has mentioned it. If Ancelotti takes on the responsibility of Brazil, he will be the first foreign coach for the Brazilian national team.

The entire Brazil is so delighted with Ancelotti that even those who were previously opposed to having a foreign coach for the Brazilian national team are now voicing their support for the coach of Real Madrid. The former star of Barcelona and the Brazilian footballer who won the 2002 World Cup, Rivaldo, has certainly stated that he does not strongly support the idea of a foreign coach in the Brazilian team at the moment.

Rivaldo referred to Deporivo as a rival and said, "The situation is becoming historically significant. It's the first time we have a foreign coach for the Brazilian team. Although I don't fully agree with it, I genuinely want us to win the 2026 World Cup under Ancelotti's leadership."

Rivaldo has no doubts about Ancelotti's capabilities. He said, "Everyone knows what kind of coach Ancelotti is. He is an excellent coach who can bring out the best in any team. If he had been the coach of Brazil in the past, I would have felt proud to play under Mbappé's leadership. He is highly respected worldwide as a coach. This is what has influenced the devotion of Brazil's fans and media."

In December, Rivaldo expressed his disagreement with the hiring of a foreign coach through social media and said, "I do not agree with it. It is disrespectful to Brazilian coaches to bring in a foreign coach for our team."

Rivaldo also commented that there are enough good coaches who can rebuild Brazil, saying, "I believe we have coaches capable of taking charge of the Brazilian team and doing a good job."

He expressed doubt about the success of foreign coaches, stating, "Bringing in a foreign coach does not mean that we will become world champions. If that were the case, the coach should make their own country champions. Our national team needs it more than Brazil does. We are the only team that has won the World Cup five times. There is no doubt that foreign coaches can be good, but the essence should be Brazilian. It should be someone who has Brazilian blood running through their veins."
