 Finally, the rumble is indeed true. Lionel Messi is leaving PSG. The Argentine forward is not renewing his contract with the French champions. At the end of the current season, he is departing from the "PSG Project."

The matter of Messi leaving PSG was confirmed today at a press conference by Christophe Galtier. The PSG coach announced that the 35-year-old star will play his final match against Clermont Foot next Saturday.

After leaving Barcelona in 2021, Messi joined Paris on a two-year contract. He has won both the French League title and the Coupe de la Ligue as a PSG player. Last week, Messi's goal secured the league title for PSG on Strasbourg's field, confirming their dominance in the ongoing season.

Due to his travel as a tourism ambassador to Saudi Arabia without permission from the PSG authorities, Messi received a ban for two matches at the beginning of last month. The strained relationship between both parties led to the news that Messi would be leaving PSG at the end of the season. The same rumble has now become true. Of course, Messi seeks forgiveness for his ban. His ban has been reduced to a single match. Messi's contract with PSG will end on June 30th.

Next Saturday, PSG will play their final match of the season on their own turf.
