Germany remains winless in their last four matches. They have now suffered a defeat against Colombia, who had previously lost to them at home with a score of 2-0. This victory for Colombia is their first against Germany, with goals scored by Luis Diaz and Juan Cuadrado.

Since the previous World Cup group stage, Germany has been directionless. Out of the five matches played after the World Cup, they have only managed to secure a victory against Peru. In their last 11 matches, they have only won three times, with victories against Oman and Costa Rica apart from Peru.

After losing to Belgium in a friendly match in March, Germany settled for a draw against Ukraine. They also suffered a defeat against Poland. After such performances, one may wonder what the coach of a team can say! Germany's coach, Flick, did not search for any excuses.

After the loss to Colombia, he stated, "Of course, I am very disappointed. We couldn't do what we wanted to do. We tried some things, but the outcome was the opposite. What else can I say? There is nothing to say at this moment. We need to analyze, and learn from our mistakes."

Flick took charge of Germany in 2021. He couldn't bring good results in the FIFA World Cup in Qatar. However, he still has another opportunity ahead of him because next year is the UEFA European Championship. Even though the failure in the World Cup was somewhat disheartening, he doesn't want to make the same mistakes.

Flick is also hopeful that they will achieve positive results from September onwards. He said, "We need to break this cycle. In September, we have to deliver a different performance. Then we will see a different team, and the outcome will be positive. We believe that we have a great team and talented players."

In September, Germany will play a friendly match against France.
