Dinosaur Fossils in Gonkoken Nanoi: Research related to this has been published in the Science Advances journal. These dinosaur herbivores, known as Gonkoken Nanoi, were approximately four meters long and weighed up to one ton!

Recently, the discovery of the fossilized remains of a herbivorous dinosaur, estimated to be around 72 million years old, has been made. At least that's what scientists claim. The habitat of these delicate creatures called the Chaptan Mosrun Choyal, was frozen in Chile. The research related to this has been published in the Science Advances journal. Gonkoken Nanoi was a familiar name for this herbivorous dinosaur. They measured around four meters in length and weighed up to one ton!

Scientists have been aware of this discovery for nearly 10 years of research. During an expedition conducted by the Chilean Antarctic Institute in 2013, fragments of yellowed bones were found near a national park.

The next step involved paleontologists. They confirmed that the recovered bones belonged to a new species, not previously identified or belonging to any known dinosaur species.

One of the authors of the research paper, Alexander Vargas, stated that Gonkoken Nanoi resembled the mouth of a goose and had features similar to the Chaptan Mosrun Choyal dinosaur. However, they are not an entirely new species but rather an evolved form of an existing species that has undergone changes through generations.

This research paper reveals that initially, scientists believed they had discovered a similar herbivorous dinosaur species in South America. However, as the research progressed, they realized that it was an entirely new species.
