International NASA scientists have achieved success in their research on drinking water in space at the International Space Station (ISS). This can take space exploration several steps further in the coming days.

NASA scientists have created drinking water from urine and sweat, but not on Earth's surface. They have accomplished this "impossible task" while being in space. They have managed to extract 98% pure drinking water from the liquid waste discharged from the human body. NASA sees this achievement as a new milestone.

The astronauts at NASA's International Space Station (ISS) have been working on solving the water-related issues for a long time. They have been conducting various tests, experiments, and research on this matter. Finally, they have achieved success in producing drinkable water. They have successfully purified water suitable for drinking from sweat and urine.

Every astronaut in the ISS requires one gallon of clean water every day. Apart from drinking, they use this water for bodily functions, food preparation, and other necessities. It is believed that extracting potable water from bodily waste will provide great convenience in future space missions.

NASA has announced that by using the Environmental Control and Life Support System (ECLSS), it is possible to recycle 98% of the wastewater. Efforts are underway to make food, water, and air reusable in the near future using this method.

ISS stands for International Space Station, which orbits around the Earth in all four directions. It is located at an altitude of 400 kilometers above the Earth's surface. At night, the ISS can be seen from Earth as a moving point of light. NASA astronauts are assigned to this station for various research purposes.
