After the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Brazil's performance has been disappointing. The team is unable to consistently win matches. In yesterday's match against Senegal, the five-time world champions suffered a 4-2 defeat.

At the Alvalade Stadium, Brazil started off quickly. In the 11th minute, Lucas Paquetá scored a goal with an assist from Vinicius Junior. Brazil had the opportunity to extend their lead in the 16th minute when Vinicius was fouled inside the box, resulting in a penalty. However, the goal was disallowed after a video assistant referee (VAR) review. In the 22nd minute, Habib Diallo equalized for Senegal.

After ending the first half with a 1-1 draw, Brazil's sorrow deepened in the second half. In the 52nd minute, an own goal by Marquinhos gave Senegal the lead. In the 55th minute, Sadio Mané extended Senegal's lead to 3-1. However, in the 58th minute, Marquinhos redeemed himself with a goal, reducing the deficit for Brazil. In extra time, Brazil managed to score from a penalty kick, but Senegal held on to win the match 4-2. After the defeat, Brazil's defender Danilo took responsibility and offered advice for the team, saying, "We have many new players, and the system has changed. Many key players have returned. But if we give up and continue like this, it won't work. We need to learn quickly because many people have high expectations from us."

Following the Qatar World Cup, Brazil has played three international matches. They have won only one of the three matches. Last Saturday, they suffered a 4-1 defeat against Guinea in Barcelona. Prior to that, in March, they lost 2-1 to Morocco, the five-time world champions.
