5-Star Hotel |
An unidentified guest, after staying at the five- star Hotel for nearly two years, left without paying the rent.
The incident took place at the Roseate House, located near the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. It is known that the bill amounted to 58 lakhs INR. The accused, Ankush Dutt, escaped without settling the bill. The hotel management filed a complaint at the airport police station regarding the incident. It was revealed that the guest had occupied the room for 603 days, with a bill of 58 lakhs INR. The accusation was made that the guest left without paying the bill. Vinod Malhotra, the entertainment manager at the hotel, informed that despite the large bill, the accused did not pay even a single paisa. He claimed that several hotel staff members were involved in this incident, without whose assistance such an act would not have been possible. Prem Prakash, the head of the Front Office department, was among those accused of misconduct. The hotel's software was tampered with to facilitate unauthorized entry. It is likely that Prem Prakash carried out this act by taking money from Ankush. The hotel management stated that Ankush Dutt checked into the hotel on May 30, 2019, following all the proper procedures, and intended to check out the next day. However, Ankush left the hotel on January 22, 2021, without settling the bill. The hotel management claims that it should have been reported to the relevant authorities if the bill was not cleared even three days after check-in, but this was not done. The police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
